Jackson County Museum
Located within the Pearson Memorial Center on the Fairgrounds in Maquoketa, the Jackson County Museum features 22,000 square feet of exhibits spread across two floors. As you enter, be sure to stop by the Hall of Fame Wall to recognize influential individuals who significantly impacted the area.
Clinton Engines Museum
The Clinton Engines Museum highlights a critical part of local industrial history. In 1950, Don Thomas moved his Clinton Machine Company from Michigan to Maquoketa. This company became a world leader in small engine manufacturing. The existing Administration Building is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and showcases the remarkable achievements of Clinton Engines and its many innovations.

Visit Us
The Jackson County Historical Society is open from Tuesday through Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, noon to 4 PM. The museum is closed on Mondays and major holidays. Admission is reasonably priced at $3 for one site and $5 for both, with free entry for children aged ten and under. Members enjoy free admission to both locations, making it an excellent opportunity for families and local residents alike.
