Join Connecticut Museum Educator Mya Concepcion, who will lead a multimedia presentation exploring the role of women during World War II. Attendees will delve into propaganda posters, art, and personal accounts, gaining a deeper understanding of the experiences of Connecticut women who contributed to the war effort. As with other events, this one is free, with donations appreciated.

Annual Holiday Open House

The Holiday Open House on December 8th, 2024, is another must-attend event. From 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Matthew Curtiss House, visitors can enjoy warm apple cider by the fire and take in the house, beautifully decorated for the holidays. Joe Mangini will play the fiddle throughout the day, adding to the festive atmosphere. This event also welcomes donations for those who wish to contribute.

Member’s Holiday Party

Later on the same day, a special Member’s Holiday Party will take place at 4:30 pm. This gathering is designed to honor the support of members and the dedication of volunteers over the past year. Attendees are invited to bring an appetizer or dessert to share, promoting a communal and festive spirit. The event is a wonderful opportunity for good conversation and merriment!
