The Greenwood County Historical Society Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the local history. The museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additionally, visits can be arranged by appointment during the week. Best of all, admission is free! While entrance is complimentary, donations are always appreciated to help maintain and enhance the museum’s offerings.

If you have any information, check the “Do You Know?” section on the museum’s website, where the Society posts items needing further identification.
SEK Museum Alliance Passport Program
Recently, the Greenwood County Historical Society joined the SEK Museum Alliance, participating in an exciting Passport Program. This program features 49 museums across Southeast Kansas. Each passport details museum locations, hours, and unique collections. Visitors are encouraged to collect stamps in their passports as they explore the different museums, making each visit a memorable adventure.
