The Murer House and Gardens are managed by the Murer House Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The foundation operates on behalf of the City of Folsom, ensuring that this charming site is preserved for future generations. In January of 2022, the museum was recognized for its historical significance by being placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior.

Visiting the Murer House

The Murer House opens its doors for tours on the first Saturday of every month. During these tours, guests can explore the museum from 10 AM to 2 PM or by special appointment. Please note that during winter months, the museum may close at noon in the case of inclement weather. Similarly, if summer temperatures exceed 100 degrees, the closing time will be adjusted to noon.
