This success marks the third consecutive year that the museum has participated in the citywide fundraising initiative designed to support nonprofits in their community-oriented goals. Approximately 40% of the donations came from repeat donors, while 60% were from new supporters. Notably, five donations ranged between $250 to $500, and four contributions originated from outside Long Beach. This enthusiastic support underscores the vital backing from the community and beyond, allowing Long Beach Heritage to thrive.

The generous donations received during Long Beach Gives are instrumental in funding essential services and projects. The organization is committed to preserving Long Beach’s historic architecture, particularly focusing on the restoration of the Bembridge House, which is now 118 years old. This house serves as a significant preservation teaching tool for local communities, and restoring its paint and exterior is a priority. The support from the community is essential in helping Long Beach Heritage reach its preservation goals.
