Edwin “Chief” Meneghini, who lived from 1918 to 1997, served as the town’s police chief. He had an enduring passion for photography, operating the “Shutter Shop” and contributing photographs to local publications. He was a beloved mentor to many aspiring photographers in the area.

Robert Williams, who lived from 1920 to 2011, served in the Army during World War II. He earned a bronze star and spent time capturing aerial photographs for cartographers. After settling in Vulcan in 1962, he established connections with the Norway Current Print Shop.

Community Involvement and Volunteer Opportunities

The museum actively encourages community involvement. High school students can participate as volunteers, gaining hands-on experience in preserving local history. Events like “Music on the Farm” and the formation of a Middle East Committee also highlight the museum’s dedication to community programming.
