Visiting the Vaile Mansion

The Vaile Mansion welcomes guests on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM, as well as Sundays from 1 PM to 4 PM, through December 29th. Group tours are available by request for parties of 15 or more. If you want to schedule a tour on a day other than the regular opening hours, simply call 816-503-6700.

This grand structure was completed in 1881 and is named after its original owner, Harvey Vaile. The Victorian Society is committed to preserving the mansion’s heritage and has recently received a $5,000 grant from the Truman Heartland Community Foundation. This funding will support exterior restoration projects aimed at maintaining the mansion’s historical integrity. Furthermore, an anonymous donor will match any funds raised up to $50,000 until December 31, 2024. Your contributions can help ensure the Vaile Mansion remains a treasured site for future generations.
