Open daily, with hours from 9 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday and 1 PM to 5 PM on weekends, AMoCA serves as a cultural hub for art enthusiasts and community members alike. The museum is closed on major holidays including New Year’s Day, July Fourth, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

A Brief History

Opened in 1994, AMoCA was established to display works produced by former fellows of the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program. The museum has since evolved into an important venue for contemporary visual art, showcasing over 500 diverse pieces across its 12 galleries and 22,000 square feet of exhibition space. It offers a unique insight into the changing dynamics of art over the last 45 years, tracking innovations since the inception of the residency program in 1967.

Of particular note is the Bösendorfer concert grand piano, gifted in 2014, which adds to the cultural richness of the offerings.
