The Adirondack Mennonite Heritage Farm is a captivating open-air history museum located in Croghan, New York. Purchased by the Adirondack Mennonite Heritage Association in 1990, this museum showcases the rich heritage of the Mennonite community. Nestled along the Erie Canal Road, the farm features the historic Moser homestead, a family dwelling built in 1845, and several other significant structures that reflect the area’s agricultural traditions.

A Glimpse into History

The farm comprises a family dwelling, a compact grouping of granaries from the mid- to late-nineteenth century, and an English barn constructed in 1874. Remarkably, the Moser home was utilized for worship services during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, highlighting its role in the community’s spiritual life. In 2010, this site was proudly listed on the New York and National Register of Historic Places, recognizing its historical significance. In May 2016, a Pomeroy roadside historic marker was dedicated to commemorate the homestead.
