Tribute Tree & Engraved Paver Program

One of the unique offerings at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum is the Tribute Tree and Engraved Paver Program. This program provides individuals the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy on the patio of the Visitor Center. It allows participants to commemorate loved ones or celebrate special occasions while contributing to the beauty of the arboretum.

Seasonal Hours

The arboretum has updated its hours. Visitors can now enjoy the grounds and programs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It’s essential to check their Hours & Fees page for the most current information before visiting.

Kids & Family Programs

The 2024 Kids and Family-Friendly education programs are now available! Families can enjoy a variety of engaging workshops, including Forest School Autumn Adventures for ages 2-7 and Jungle Bob’s Exotic Reptile Show – Creepy Crawlers Edition. Additionally, field trips tailored to various learning experiences are part of the program lineup.

Adult Education Workshops

The Bayard Cutting Arboretum also offers a series of hands-on workshops aimed at adults and teenagers (15+). These workshops provide valuable insights into horticulture and other educational topics. Notable upcoming events include the 7th Annual Bayard Cutting Arboretum Horticultural Symposium, scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025.

Watercolor Workshops and Gallery Annex

For those interested in art, the watercolor workshops are returning on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Led by the new instructor Teresa Cromwell, these workshops promise to inspire creativity and appreciation for the natural surroundings of the arboretum.

Manor House & Grounds Tours

Visitors are welcome to explore the historic Manor House, as well as participate in Docent Led Grounds Tours. Both tours offer a detailed look at the arboretum’s rich history and the beautiful landscapes that surround it. Attic Tours are also available, providing another dimension to the visitor experience.

Location and Vehicle Use Fee

The Bayard Cutting Arboretum is conveniently located at 440 Montauk Highway, Great River, NY 11739. Please note that there is a Vehicle Use Fee (VUF) of $8 per vehicle, collected from April through November via automated-pay meters. Seniors (62+) can obtain placards and access passes at any of the parking kiosks.
