Operations and Routes

The museum operates on 10 miles of scenic track between Waterville and Grand Rapids, offering visitors a unique experience as they ride along the historic rail line. Currently, the Bluebird Passenger Train is not in service, but volunteers are diligently working year-round to restore it. Your donations can significantly expedite the restoration process, bringing this beloved train back to its community.

Upcoming Events and Rides

The Toledo Lake Erie & Western Railway Museum is excited to announce the Grand Rapids Motorcar Train Rides starting on May 5, 2024. These rides will run every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 PM, weather permitting. The affordable ticket prices of $5 for adults and $3 for children aged 3 to 12 make it an accessible family outing. Please note that all transactions are cash-only, as the museum currently cannot process credit cards on site.
