Hours of Operation

Among its many offerings, the Allison-Antrim Museum features “The Pen Mar Park Story,” a re-release of a popular DVD that explores local history. This video, available for purchase for $20, provides insights into the Anderson/Irwinton Mill, originally built in 1774 and rebuilt in 1856 after a fire. The mill is not open for tours, but the DVD serves as an educational tool, preserving its legacy.
The museum itself is housed in a historical building purchased in 1998, featuring changing exhibits and rare artifacts that provide visitors with an authentic experience of life in the 1860s. The upstairs includes two small exhibit rooms that further complement the museum’s offerings.
Facilities and Accessibility
For those with mobility challenges, the Allison-Antrim Museum is partially accessible. The first floor of the house is wheelchair accessible; however, the bathroom facility is not. The barn, which hosts rotating exhibits and the permanent local Civil War exhibit, is fully ADA compliant, boasting accessible bathrooms and a kitchen.
