New Publications Available
If you’re interested in local history, the society has released a book titled “Around Scottdale and Everson,” compiled by Paul E. Eckman and Tom Zwierzelewski. This volume features historical photographs and narratives from the area’s heyday and sells for just $20 at the Scottdale Public Library or through various booksellers, including Arcadia Publishing and Barnes & Noble.
Additionally, retired Southmoreland High School history teacher Bob Percy has penned “Profiles of Service and Sacrifice,” which tells the stories of local residents who served in World War II. It’s another compelling read that adds to the rich tapestry of Scottdale’s history.

The Scottdale Historical Society has created a Wish List to improve its operations and resources. Recently, generous donors have provided essential items like a washer, dryer, and dinner glasses. If you would like to contribute, your support would be greatly appreciated.
